Sri Lanka Air Force Day is observed annually on 2 March and commemorates the founding of the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF). The day recognises the importance of the air force in ensuring the country's national security and serves as an opportunity to honour the military personnel who serve in this branch of the armed forces.

The Sri Lanka Air Force was founded on 2 March 1951 as the Royal Ceylon Air Force, as part of the country's efforts to develop its own armed forces following independence from Britain.
